NORTHEASTERN DISTRICT ASSEMBLY CHURCH OF CHRIST, DISCIPLES OF CHRIST

The 88th Annual Northeastern District Assembly (NEDA) was held September 12-16, 2018.  St. Paul Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 534 Gates Avenue, Brooklyn, NY - Elder Aaron D. Owens, Sr., Pastor hosted this glorious event. This being our election year, we are proud to announce that God has blessed us with an anointed and wonderful Executive Staff of incumbents that were re-elected for another four years. They are as follows:

Bishop Dr. Andrew J. Boomer, Jr.,  Presiding Bishop

                                       Bishop Darryl Rouse,  Vice

                                       Sister Ivestia Blake, Executive Secretary

                                       Sister Jamara Stevenson, Assistant Secretary

                                       Trustee Dorsey Spencer, Treasurer

                                       Elder Annie Copeland, District Evangelist

Our fraternal Assemblies from the South (mostly NC) were not with us to celebrate this 88th year due to  the severity of Hurricane Florence.  The affected Assemblies were:  The Washington-Norfolk Assembly (Bishop

Johnson Hazel); The Union Assembly (Bishop Marcus Louis, Sr.); United Foundation Fellowship District Assembly (Bishop Anthony Terrell); Southern Assembly Church of Christ (Bishop Robert Jones); Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly (Bishop Chester L. Aycock); Southeastern District Assembly (Bishop Edward L. Pollock, Jr.) and our General Bishop Alton A. Smith.

Many people were displaced and many lost their belongings. The Northeastern District Assembly has an established  Disaster Relief Fund for such occurences. All donations are tax exempt. You may make your checks and money orders:

                                    Payable to: NEDA

Send to: Ivestia Blake, 195 Adams Street-#2G, Brooklyn, NY 11201.

We thank you for your donations.
